First, you are not required to provide any documentation at the time you submit your lottery application. However, if your name is drawn for a winning lottery spot, you will have only 45 calendar days from the date of notice to prove you meet the requirements of Part A and Part B described below and 60 calendar days to resolve Part C. If you can answer "yes" to all three questions below, you can enter the lottery! There are 17 regions, however you can only enter once in each region and each entry is $250. Have you:
1.) Lived in an Illinois blue zone or in a disproportionately impacted area (DIA) in another state for at least 5 of the last 10 years or,

2.) Received Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability, and/or subsidized housing for at least 5 of the preceding 10 years?
PART B: ANSWER YES
Have you:

1.) Or a family member, been arrested, convicted, or adjudicated delinquent for possession of not more than 500g cannabis, or for the manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver up to 30g of cannabis, or
​
2.) Have you been a victim of a firearm injury evidenced by either a police report or medical record?
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Â plans to release a New Online Dispensary Application, called The Social Equity Criteria Lottery at the end of this month of January.
