CS+X is pleased to announce the return of our very popular STEM camps! Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math form the backbone of our modern society and we believe that by building an early understanding, kids can improve the world!

Each camp is designed to engage students in fun and exciting hands-on learning experiences that promise to capture the imagination of new learners and returning students alike. These camps help continue the legacy of education and community impact started by the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum.

Camps are designed and operated by the former Education Coordinator of the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum, Alex Dour.  All inquiries related to the camps can be sent to alex@orpheumkids.com.

    K - 8th Grade Camp, 322 N Neil St, Downtown Champaign
    Join us on a time travel adventure where we’ll look at the history of Earth from the first rocks forming, to ancient animals and dinosaurs, and then to the first humans to live here!
  • Jul 17, 2023, 9:00 AM – Jul 21, 2023, 3:00 PM
    K - 8th Grade Camp, 322 N Neil St, Downtown Champaign
    Spend the week solving problems with technology and overcoming science and engineering challenges to help make our world a better place!
  • Jul 10, 2023, 9:00 AM – Jul 14, 2023, 3:00 PM
    K - 8th Grade Camp, 322 N Neil St, Downtown Champaign
    In this camp students will learn the scientific method and practice a wide variety of experiments throughout the week. Each one will help students understand how to ask questions, make hypotheses, and plan experiments. At the end of the week, students will create and conduct their own experiment.

    4th - 8th Grade Camp, 322 N Neil St., Champaign
    This camp features a curriculum developed by the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA)! In this camp students will investigate a life in space. Space holds many dangers and conditions that are different from our everyday lives on Earth, so join us as we imagine staying alive in space!

    K - 8th Grade Camp, 322 N Neeil St., Champaign
    Ever had a chance to build your very own robot? Join us as we learn how robots are designed, built, and programmed. Throughout the week you’ll have the chance to build your very own robot with one of our LEGO robotics kits! This camp is suited for beginners and experienced builders alike!
